The 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month U.S. dollar (Eurodollar) LIBOR rates fixed higher today. The overnight rate held steady at 2.38388% with no fixing, due to the Martin Luther King Birthday holiday in the United States. To assist those with adjustable rate loans, we report the 1 Year LIBOR (12 Month LIBOR) on or after the first of the month, which is commonly used to benchmark adjustable loans. So we publish the LIBOR for a twelve month deposit in U.S. Dollars on the last business day of the previous month. LIBOR (London Interbank Offered Rate) or ICE LIBOR (previously BBA LIBOR) is a benchmark rate that some of the world’s leading banks charge each other for short-term loans. It stands for Intercontinental Exchange London Interbank Offered Rate and serves as the first step to calculating interest rates on various loans throughout the world.
